Currently NO, there is not much future past Wolverine and Death Stranding 2 in 2025, which no doubt got delayed due to lack of games, and spread things out longer. If they got released 2023/2024, then there would be years with nothing and more people would quit PlayStation sooner, but string it out and people will stick with PlayStation more so.

My choice could change if there is a PS showcase this month, and Uncharted 5 or similar (new IPs) gets announced. If not and nothing announced this year, then I will truly give up on PlayStation for PS6 onwards. Concord looks to be another live service game to avoid

Too many Live service games and a departure of what makes Playstation Studios fairly unique.
Very few companies make insanely beautiful and well made single player games. Microsofts expertise is in multiplayer and Nintendo are in a league of their own.
There's a few exclusives coming that I like Phantom Blade Zero, Until Dawn Remake, Death Stranding 2, Silent Hill 2 remake and Wolverine all look like great games. But they haven't really announced anything for the future.

The only reason Microsoft have any real exclusives coming is because of the purchase of Bethesda. So neither seem to have a real edge.

Just wish there was less remakes and more new IPs for this generation.

I've never been less excited for what Playstation has coming than I do now. Between the lack of communication and poor choice to chase the live service trend. It's been the worst gen so far for Sony.

Short-term, yeah. Looking forward to things that are relatively close. Long-term....? I'm concerned for the entire gaming industry. Studios need to find a way to streamline the process to reduce both cost & development time. And publishers have got to stop using developers' jobs as a quick way to bump their share prices when they've already made billions in profit for the year. It's disgusting AND stupid as it's a factor in the first issue. Losing devs reduces institutional knowledge, which leads to longer dev times, unfinished products, and higher dev costs per project.

I'm excited in a sense that PS Studios is all an unknown. We know so little really so anything new they announce is always going to be exciting to some extent, right?

Am I excited about what's been actually announced from PS Studios? I'll run through them each:
Concord - no, it's just a year old CG 'announcement' that they have had nothing. Supposedly GOTG inspired, but even that info is not from Sony.
Fairgame$ - mildly less excited about this than Concord. At least Concord seems to be a sci-fi theme.
Wolverine - yes, excited. I saw a video of some gameplay in progress on X once, and it looked very cool.

I believe those are everything announced for PS Studios.

    Not at all.

I miss PS when they would do games like Tearaway, Gravity Rush, Trash Panic, Rain, etc. Not to mention JRPGs.

I still haven't even bothered to pick up GoW Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, or play Horizon 2 because I'm just tired of the formula of modern PS releases. While we still see some deviations from it like R&C Rift Apart (it's imo a downgrade from the last new game Into the Nexus; and lacked Ratchet), Astro (fire) and... Sackboy? (which I do like, but the way LBP's UGC was unceremoniously removed forever is just a sign post of what modern PS is all about).

No Dreams port on PC is still baffling to me. It would bring new life to the game and be very fitting on the platform. I guess I'll be excited for a new Ghost of Tsushima, maybe, as long as Sony doesn't meddle too much trying to "improve" the game to appeal to "modern audiences".

PS used to be all about big and small, tons of variety and I loved it. Now it's mostly all the same crap and they wanted to focus on GaaS and that's so far not been working out too hot for them and they haven't really even released any of them yet they've just cancelled a bunch lmao. But hey, it was definitely worth shit canning tons of interesting IP that define what PS was about to waste millions on trash that never came out and was always a bad idea. Maybe Sony will buy up Foamstars IP from Square Enix and we'll get a Foamstars 2. :'D

This is exactly my feelings, people told them we don't want live service games anymore and they pushed ahead with being late to the party.
