Favourite game character?

Howdy y'all. Almost everyone I know has a favourite game character, whether it be one from their childhood or a current favourite (can you guess mine? ). There are a ton of amazing characters out there and everyone has their own tastes and preferences so I wanna know - who is your favourite?

A quick note, I wanted to limit the choices down to just Playstation and multi platform characters along with characters that have had more than 1 game but obviously just select other if your favourite is Mario or whatever.

I voted Ezio but it was difficult - Shepard was another cool one, and I thought Daxter was pretty cool as well though I guess he doesn't count since Jak is the one you play as, bar a few short segments.

I've only voted with PS3/PS4/Vita characters in mind, I'd probably go for Mario if we'd allow that kind of answer (which I think we shouldn't) since he really is larger than life now, Ezio and the others in this poll (except Sonic, naturally) never really got beyond their own games.

I only really added Sonic because he is a childhood favourite of most and I remembered the originals got released on PSN. I was just gonna put Playstation characters only but here are so many great multi console characters. Mario is that big now that Nintendo could easily just rename the consoles after him

I chose Lara croft (current) - played by the lovely camilla luddington for anyone who hasn't seen greys anatomy she is a knock out, look forward to seeing her in rise of the tomb raider very soon.

I voted for other - Tifa Lockheart from Final Fantasy, There were two reasons why, but I forgot them.

I chose "Other" and would probably have to go with John Marston from Red Dead Redemption. I really wish there was a figurine of him for our collection
