PlayStation passes a huge milestone — there are now 10,000 games with trophies

By Oscar Dayus,
As we come to the end of the PlayStation 4 generation, the PlayStation nation reaches another big milestone: there are now 10,000 games with trophies.

A little under 12 years after first coming to the PlayStation 3, trophies are now a big part of how people play their games. From basic, hard-to-miss bronze awards to the big platinums, that satisfying "BLING" sound never gets old.

Some big hitters have awarded a lot of trophies over the years: 2018's Spider-Man, for example, has been played by over half of the TrueTrophies audience, while a little under 9% of all PSN players have achieved that game's platinum.

The Call of Duty series, meanwhile, has been played by over 77% of our users and has over 1,000 trophies available in its 15 titles on PlayStation - not including those which launched before trophies were a thing, of course.

How many trophies are there available for you to unlock in those 10,000 games? The answer: 297,265, at the time of writing. That's a lot of trophies!

We'll be breaking down some of the more interesting stats over the next few days here on TrueTrophies. In the meantime, check out the infographic below for some of the headline facts and figures.
