Sky Force Anniversary Soaring Onto All Playstation Consoles

By Jon,
The original Sky Force was one of the first mobile hits on the Pocket PC back before the original iPhone was even made public. After multiple updates on mobile devices, Polish Developer Infinite Dreams is bringing Sky Force Anniversary to the PS4, PS3 and Playstation Vita. Infinite Dreams has always wanted to capture the old-school feel of classic top-down arcade shooters such as 1942 and River Raid. In bringing this latest version to the Playstation family, Infinite Dreams accomplished their goal.

Just check out this announcement trailer to see what I mean:

Classic SHMUP enemies? Check. Classic power-ups? Check. Local co-op play? Check.

Sky Force Anniversary will include a single-player campaign that is also available in local co-op along with weekly tournaments. As with other games that offer this feature, the weekly tournaments will be on unique levels that change every seven days. Special challenges will be present during the single-player campaign, such as finishing a level without taking any damage, or not using any power-ups. Those challenges also reek of "Trophy!" to me.

Finally, here's some screenshots of Sky Force Anniversary in action, including a comparison shot with the mobile version of Sky Force:

Sky Force Anniversary will be available this Summer for the PS4, PS3 and Playstation Vita. Thankfully, the game will support cross-buy!

We've got the full list of Sky Force Anniversary trophies - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
