TT Stats - November 9th to 15th 2015

By Rebecca Smith,
This report is for the period November 9th to 15th 2015.

A highly-anticipated role-playing game comes out and, suddenly, everybody starts playing games again. There's a 13.1% increase in the number of players who started games but a 1.5% decrease in the number of games started, meaning that most players started the same game. Fancy that. To continue with the lack of surprises, there is a 10.0% decrease in the number of players who completed games and a 14.3% decrease in the number of games completed. Finally, there is a slight 5.7% increase in the number of players who won trophies and a even slighter 0.2% increase in the number of trophies won.

• 6,469 TrueTrophies gamers started a total of 8,724 games between them (1,229 different games).
• 1,484 TrueTrophies gamers completed a total of 2,086 games between them (777 different games).
• 10,964 TrueTrophies gamers won a total of 159,795 trophies online between them (32,815 different trophies).

Break out the flags and banners! Action-Adventure has been dethroned. Yes, you read that correctly. Role-Playing gets top spot this week due to the aforementioned Bethesda RPG and a 170% increase in the number of TT score gained this week. Aside from this, Adventure drops two places after people managed to finish PS+ title The Walking Dead quickly. Outside of the top four, nothing changes places.

Lets take a look at the platform tables.

Playstation 4

When I said that the results would be predictable last week, I wasn't joking. I should get a job as a medium. Anyway, Fallout 4 Trophies takes top spot in Games Started with over seven times the number of starters as last week's number one and the game in second spot, Call of Duty: Black Ops III Trophies. Unsurprisingly, the former title also takes all ten Trophies Won spots.

Elsewhere in this table, the power of a free game is evident. Gems of War Trophies breaks into Europe and takes fifth spot, while Full Kiss Spelunker World Trophies appears in North America and takes eighth. Former PS+ title Broken Age Trophies also re-enters the chart in ninth.

When it comes to completions, we have a couple of mysterious re-entries in fifth and tenth in the forms of Rocket League Trophies and The Wolf Among Us Trophies respectively. We're not sure of any reason for their reappearance, but what we do know is that a lot more players managed to complete last week's release Need for Speed Trophies. The game climbs from tenth spot to second thanks to nearly five times the number of finishers as it gathered last week.

Playstation 3

Playstation 3 continues to be dominated by PS+ titles. Mass Effect 2 Trophies keeps top spot in Games Started and seven of the ten Trophies Won spots. Fellow November title Beyond Good & Evil HD Trophies takes third spot in Started, top spot in Games Completed and one of the top ten Trophies Won.

What's new? Well, new release Full Kiss Sword Art Online Lost Song PS4 Trophies takes second spot in Games Started and the remaining two Trophies Won. Then we have Full Kiss Spartacus Legends Trophies in seventh spot now that players have been spurred on to start the title by the upcoming server closure. Finally, Mass Effect Trophies appears in joint eighth thanks to Europe's recent "Up to 70%" sale.

On the contrary, the completion numbers are quite small for the PS3 this week with four titles all tying for top spot, all of which were in the chart last week. In fact, all of the titles were either present last week or can only really be described as random.

Playstation Vita

While the Vita charts do see some change this week, most of it is due to random activity. There are a few titles that have easy trophies that may have been used for the final part of the Leapfrog competition, but little else tallies up.

Aside from the random activity, Persona 4: Dancing All Night (EU) (Vita) Trophies keeps top spot in Games Started, joint first in Games Completed and the top eight Trophies Won. The other two Trophies Won spots are taken by Full Kiss SUPERBEAT XONiC Trophies, which also shoots to second spot on Games Started thanks to an international release.
