The Talos Principle Dated with a Deluxe Edition

By Alex Frost,
New details about Devolver Digital's upcoming philosophical puzzler, The Talos Principle, emerge as a release date is fast approaching us. A game centered around a sentient robot traveling through Earth's greatest civilizations, connecting the dots to solve problems one at a time, now has a release date of October 13th, 2015. Thankfully, that will be a Tuesday this year.

Along with this announcement came more screenshots. The video, which is the only official trailer to come out for this game so far, has been included here for those who have either missed it or need a fresher.

It was also revealed that for this new PlayStation 4 version, the expansion pack The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna will be included in all retail and digital copies as a bonus. The expansion pack will reveal to the player a new side to the world in which Elohim — the disembodied voice you will hear so often — lives. New characters live in their own world, complete with a fleshed-out culture, history, and philosophy we can explore and piece together.

Too add some bizarre into this mix, CFO of Devolver Digital, Fork Parker, said "I have it on good authority that those dedicated fans that purchase both the digital and retail versions of The Talos Principle Deluxe Edition will become omnipotent. That’s not a guarantee but certainly something to consider."

Personally, I'd take that bit of advice with a grain of salt. Previously released on the PC, The Talos Principle, along with its expansion pack The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna, will be released on PlayStation 4 October 13 digitally and as a retail copy.
