EXCLUSIVE: Rocket League Trophy List Reveal

By MunchMagic1986,
Here at TrueTrophies, we take our trophies very seriously - it is in our name after all! Well, do we have some very exciting news to bring to you today: Psyonix Studios, creator of the upcoming game Rocket League, has very kindly asked us to reveal the trophy set for the game. How could we possibly say no?

So let's have a look at them, shall we? There are a total of 36 trophies consisting of 20 Bronze, 10 Silver, 5 Gold and a sparkly Platinum, which add up to 1,230 XP. You can find the full list here. I have picked out a few of them that stand out the most and, having played the Beta, I can already tell that some of these will be fun.

This trophy is a nice throwback to their previous title Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, which is also the predecessor to Rocket League.

What better way to stick it to your opponent than scoring a goal in reverse? Well, forcing them to score an own goal probably would cause some embarrassment too, I suppose. In a game that is filled with chaotic fun, sometimes the best goals are the flashiest and these certainly fall under flashy. These may sound like they could be a pain to obtain but they will very likely happen by accident. There is a good chance that your opponent will smash into you, causing you to crash into them and forcing an own goal.

One of the really cool things in this game is the ability to drive all over the arena, literally. The stadiums are encased in a dome and players can drive along the sides of these. A lot of time is spent on the walls as both teams battle to reach the ball, so this should come naturally.

Six goals! In one match! This one could be hard depending on which mode you are playing. In the 3v3 mode I was able to get 5 goals once, but I imagine that playing a 1v1 match will do the job nicely. Each match lasts for five minutes. Luckily, it can take mere seconds to score a goal — you can even get one by using a rocket boost at kick-off and slamming into the ball.

The last 60 seconds of the game are often more crucial than the rest of the match. So many times I have seen a team go from 3-1 down with under a minute left, only to win 5-4. Each match that you play feels like a cup final; the clock is slowly winding down and there is still a glimmer of hope left, the intensity starts to build and the whole team gives it their all.

This looks to be the hardest one on the list. Winning 10 games in a row is going to require a lot of teamwork and a bit of luck. The good news is that it can be across any game mode so even 1v1 will do. The bad news is that 10 games in a row is still pretty tough to get. Luckily, this game is very addictive and insanely fun so it will not feel like too much of a chore.

The other trophies that are worthy of a special mention are Battle-car Collector and Stocked, which are for collecting all Battle-cars and Items respectively. Rider's Block will have you trying to get 20 Saves, while Team Player will see you playing every team in a season.

What are your thoughts on the trophies? Will you be picking up Rocket League when it launches this Summer on Playstation 4?

I would like to give a special thanks to the team at Psyonix for letting us do the trophy reveal. If you're interested in Rocket League, you'll want to follow Psyonix' Twitter as they have an important announcement about the game coming next week.

Please note that the trophy list is still subject to change.
