Chivalry: Medieval Warfare Coming to PS3

By Matrarch,
If you've had just about enough of the traditional FPS, wherein you use an assortment of firearms to take down your foes, then Torn Banner Studios' Chivalry: Medieval Warfare (PS3) may be just the FPS you need. See, unlike other First Person Shooters, Chivalry takes us back to Medieval times, so all (well, most) of the combat will be focused around melee weaponry.

Chivalry, in case you'd never heard of it before, actually has quite the history. Initially released in 2012 for PC, the title, which will feature multiplayer for up to 12 people over Xbox LIVE, has since gone on to sell 1.2 million copies globally. Thanks to a game page appearing at Xbox.com, we also know some other details about what we can expect from the game and have some screens to look at.

-Wield an arsenal of 60+ brutal weapons ranging from broad swords and battle axes to longbows and javelins.
-Switch between the intense combat of first-person to the tactical view of third-person anytime during battle.
-Team tactics and strategy bring players together to batter down gates and assassinate enemy royalty to achieve victory.
-Use a variety of siege weapons ranging from catapults, boiling oil, ballista, battering rams and more.
-Deep melee combat system provides players with a range of responsive combat options.
