Release Date Announced for Shadow Warrior

By Andy Mills,
The last time we heard any details about Shadow Warrior, a vague release date of "late September" was given. Announced in conjunction with Bandai Namco Games Europe - who will be handling retail distribution of the game in Europe, the Middle East, and Australasia - Devolver Digital revealed that will be released on September 26th, exactly a year after the PC version was released.

In addition to the release date, there was also the news that there will be all-new content coming exclusively to the console versions of Shadow Warrior. This new content will take a few forms, including an Arena Mode in which Wang will face off against waves of enemies, an all-new campaign featuring the head of the Zilla Corporation, and some new weapons comprising of the sledgehammer from Serious Sam 3 BFE, the katana from Hotline Miami, the "Zilla Enterprises Z45" katana and the "classic Shadow Warrior" katana.

While there seems to be no set in stone release date for North America, standard video game release logic dictates that Shadow Warrior will probably be releasing right around the time of the European release date. We'll keep you up-to-date if anything changes on that front.

We've got the full list of Shadow Warrior trophies - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
